{"id":26169,"date":"2022-12-09T11:30:20","date_gmt":"2022-12-09T10:30:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oafifoundation.com\/?p=26169"},"modified":"2023-05-11T21:05:10","modified_gmt":"2023-05-11T19:05:10","slug":"oafi-on-behalf-of-osteoarthritis-patients-is-received-at-the-vatican","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oafifoundation.com\/en\/oafi-on-behalf-of-osteoarthritis-patients-is-received-at-the-vatican\/","title":{"rendered":"OAFI, representing osteoarthritis patients, is received at the Vatican"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>On Wednesday, 16 November, OAFI was granted an audience with His Holiness Pope Francis, where we were able to bring the reality of osteoarthritis to this institution.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Josep Verg\u00e9s, President of OAFI, and Maria Teresa Verg\u00e9s, Director of the OAFI Patients&#8217; Area, together with Dr. Ingrid M\u00f6ller and Dr. Jose Mar\u00eda Villal\u00f3n, recognised experts in rheumatology and osteoarthritis, took part in a &#8220;baciamano&#8221; with Pope Francis on Wednesday, 16 November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this meeting, they explained to His Holiness the reality that patients with osteoarthritis experience on a daily basis, as well as the work of the Foundation.
