Healthy cooking for Osteoporosis patients

You can now download and try the Alicia Foundation’s healthy cooking guide for Osteoporosis patients.

This week we provide you with a very practical cooking guide, where you will find recipes recommended for people suffering from bone disease, especially those suffering from osteoporosis. The recipe book has been kindly provided to us by Alicia, a pioneering organisation in our country, “a centre that researches gastronomic products and processes; innovating and working to improve people’s nutrition, paying special attention to those with dietary restrictions and other health problems; promoting the improvement of eating habits, working for a sustainable world and enhancing the food and gastronomic heritage of the territories”.

Created in conjunction with Marina Morato Martínez, dietician and clinical nutritionist, the healthy cooking guide consists of “20 recipes rich in the essential foods to improve bone health. They are preparations that are easy to incorporate into the regular diet and cover all daily needs: they include main dishes, but also snacks and desserts”.

“The recipes are based on the current scientific knowledge of nutrition and osteoporosis from a team of dieticians and chefs”.

For OAFI and AECOSAR, diet and nutrition are a vital part of the prevention and treatment of both osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.

That is why we would like to provide you with this fantastic guide through this link. (Spanish)

We would also like to thank all the professionals who have made it possible, and the Alicia Foundation for their incredible work and commitment to improving health through food and cooking research.

Thank you very much, and let’s cook!
